Leaded stained glass has been dazzling people for over a thousand years. Lead strips support the colored glass pieces. Glass comes to life in the sunlight and has an energy unmatched by other materials. And it lasts a thousand years or more.

Fused glass is a more modern medium. Carefully heating and cooling glass sheets, stringers and frit - basically smashed glass - in a kiln to temperatures up to 1600 degrees allow colors to move and blend creating organic forms of remarkable depth.

Glass enamel powders are mixed with oils and other carriers to create paints which are permanently fused to the cut pieces of glass at 1250 degrees. Multiple layers are required to capture detail and a variety of visual textures.
